Carefully choose the ingredients: two good sized carrots and about 80 grams organic rice.
Peel the skin of the carrots and wash with drinkable water.
Cut the carrots in cubes. Wash the rice using a strainer and let for a couple of minutes to semi-dry.
Place the carrots in a small saucepan, wash with drinkable water, rinse and add drinkable water (about 1 litre). The carrots need longer time to cook than rice. Boil the carrots for about 10 minutes and then add the rice.
Boil / cook for further 20 minutes depending on the heat, the water and the rice. Make sure that there is enough water in the saucepan at all times (if necessary add some). It is important that the rice does not dry in order for the puree to be tender and liquid enough. Always take precautions, keep the baby away from the saucepan and protect yourself from the boiling water.
Prepare the veloute: add the cooked rice with the carrots and the olive oil in a blender-bowl and mash them using a small blender.
