Chicken with vegetables for babies
Ingredients
- 100 grams chicken breast
- 1 potato
- 2 carrots
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Carefully choose the chicken breast to be fresh, from free range chicken or organic (can be expensive but the quantity is small). Clean the chicken carefully.
- In a small saucepan add 1 litre of water and the chicken breast. Let it boil for at least 10 minutes. Remove any froth created while the chicken boils. Good quality chicken generates little froth. Tip: If the chicken breast is big, cut in cubes and then boil it.
- Remove the semi-cooked chicken and clean the saucepan for reuse. The chicken should be white and should have no blood.
- Carefully choose the vegetables two good sized carrots and a large potato.
- Peel the skin of the vegetables and wash with drinkable water. Then cut the vegetables in cubes.
- Place the vegetables and chicken in a small saucepan, add drinkable water to cover them (about 1 litre) depending on the saucepan size, and let them boil for about 20 minutes.
- It is necessary that some water remains when the food is cooked. This is necessary for the puree to be soft.
- Place the cooked chicken, the vegetables, 2-3 tablespoons from the remaining water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a blender. Blend the food to a soft puree.
- Serve the puree in a plate or a bowl.
Notes
Tip: adjust quantities based on your baby's age and needs
